Pick 3 Triple Play Promotion [VIDEO]

UPDATE: July 9
A lot of players have been asking, what happens to prizes if they go unclaimed?  If prizes go unclaimed, the funds will go back into the unclaimed prize fund. All unclaimed prizes, by law, are required to be returned to the players in some fashion.  In order to do so, we develop numerous promotions during the course of the year using the unclaimed prize money as a way of returning the money to the players.  For instance, unclaimed prizes are used for promotions such as Keno Sprinkler, Racetrax Doubler and Hit It Here.

Three Ways To Win With $1 Plays

From May 17th through June 20th, players will have additional chances to win on the Lottery’s classic numbers game, Pick 3!  This Pick 3-only promotion will randomly produce bonus coupons with 8-digit codes for players.  If the coupon’s last two digits match the last two digits of that evening’s Pick 3, the player will win $100.  We’re giving away over 2,500 $100 winners each week.  Click here to see if you won.

If the last two digits do not match that evening’s Pick 3 drawing, players should save the coupon for that week’s Weekly Prize Drawing, which draws an entire 8-digit coupon number for a chance to win up to $250,000.

Pick 3 Players Collect $1.7 Million on Tax Day

8-8-8 Pays Out Big

Pick 3Most people do not look forward to April 15th.  But this year’s tax day proved different for over 7,000 happy Maryland Lottery Pick 3 players.  That’s because last night’s Pick 3, 8-8-8, paid more than $1.7 million to players.  It was the second time in three weeks that Maryland Lottery numbers players won big.  On March 25th, 1-2-1-2 paid more than $7 million to Pick 4 players.

Last night’s drawing took in $467,437 in total sales and the payout was 373 percent or more than $1.7 million.  Triple and quadruple numbers are always popular with Lottery players.  Those who placed a $1 bet took home $500 and winners with a $.50 wager received $250 each.  The last time 8-8-8 was drawn in Maryland was on June 4, 2008.

The Maryland Lottery’s Pick 3 and Pick 4 drawings are held twice daily — midday and evening, seven days-a-week.

1,000 Ways to Win – Daily Draw [VIDEO]

For Lottery Players, Pick 3 is #1

Triple 1’s Break the Bank

Thanks to today’s Midday Lottery drawing thousands of Pick 3 players will be smiling a little wider this winter weekend, their pockets stuffed with cash.  Thanks to that same drawing, an office full of Lottery accountants will be very busy.  This is what happens when triple numbers are drawn.

To say that the 1-1-1 drawn during the Midday Pick 3 drawing broke the bank is a bit of an understatement.  Those accountants were happy when the records showed that more than $340,000 was wagered on today’s drawing but their smiles faded when the Pick 3 results generated a $1.6 million payout – an astounding 473% of sales.  According to Lottery officials, big payouts are common when triples are drawn.  This day’s payout, however, will be one to remember for players.

The Maryland Lottery’s Pick 3 drawings are held twice daily — midday and evening, seven-days-a-week and are televised every day on WBAL-TV.

A Pre-Halloween Treat for Pick 3 Players

Last Night’s Drawing Breaks the Bank

Pick 3The number Zero is often used in a negative way these days, to describe a general lack of something.  These descriptions are, of course, still dictionary-true, but wholly incorrect when discussing Wednesday night’s zeros – three zeros in fact.  Pick 3 players who chose 0-0-0 as their number last night helped break the Lottery bank and, in doing so, have anything but empty pockets.

“It’s been quite a while since triple zeros made an appearance,” reported Lottery Director Buddy Roogow, “more than four years, in fact.”  Records show that 0-0-0 was last drawn in June of 2005.  And, as is the case whenever triple numbers are drawn, the prize payout is well above the amount wagered.  The Lottery took in more than $414,000 in Pick 3 sales last night and paid out almost $803,000.

The Maryland Lottery’s Pick 3 drawings are held twice daily — midday and evening, seven-days-a-week and are televised every day except Saturdays on WBAL-TV.

2-2-2 Pays Out Nearly $1.17 Million

Wednesday’s Midday Pick 3 Breaks the Bank

Pick 3 players across Maryland cashed in big yesterday afternoon.  The midday winning number, 2-2-2, paid out nearly $1.17 million to Lottery players. This comes on the heels of the Green Ball Double Draw promotion, which paid more than $1.36 million in bonus cash to Pick 3 players in just one month.

Lottery officials report that sales for Wednesday’s midday Pick 3 drawing were just over $272,000.  The payout of $1.17 million was 429% more than those ticket sales for the game.
