Wins $77,000 on Magnificent 7’s scratch-off

Theresa Beil - Magnificent 7'sTheresa Biel’s hands were shaking as she entered Lottery headquarters today.  The shakiness was due to the fact that she was holding a $77,000 winning Magnificent 7’s scratch-off in her hands.  It all started last Friday when she made her daily visit to Jack’s Fine Food store.

“I buy tickets everyday…usually more on Friday’s because its payday,” says the 48-year-old winner.  But this particular Friday was like no other. During her visit to the store, she had an interesting conversation with a Racetrax player.  The “mystery man” chatted with her about winning money and said her lucky day was right around the corner.  Theresa then purchased two $10 tickets and won a little money.  Afterwards, she bought two $5 tickets, including a Magnificent 7’s scratch-off.  She sat down at the table and scratched her way to $77,000.  “I couldn’t believe it.  I showed it to the gentleman and he was excited.  I was shaking like a leaf,” she said.

Theresa, who has been an administrative assistant for 30 years, plans to buy a new car, spend some on family and friends, and save the rest.  The winning ticket was purchased at Jack’s Fine Foods, located at 4519 Kenwood Avenue in Baltimore.

  1. where can I purchase Raise the Stakes in 21703 area?
also, how long has High Roller been in ciculation?

    • Angela: Raise the Stakes’ final activation date has occurred. We can not accurately pinpoint where these games are as it is now in final claim status.

High Roller has been in circulation since 7/28/2008 and is 71% sold.

  2. ANOTHER BALTIMORE WINNER! THIS IS WHERE MARYLAND LOTTERY PLACE THE LARGE TICKET WINNINGS. THEY PUT A COUPLE IN OTHER COUNTIES OUTSIDE OF HOWARD AND BALTIMORE JUST TO BAIT US. LOOK AT THE STATISTICS. THIS IS VERY SUSPICIOUS. HOPEFULLY, AN INVESTIGATION IS BEING DONE

    • LaVerne: The geographic locations of our winners are completely random. There is no way to predict where the winners will be. However, research tells us that more winners come from areas of the State in which more people are playing. Please take a look at our winners stories from 2009 and 2010. There you’ll see that we have winners from all over the State.
