  1. Whats going on with the scratch off remaining page. At first the winter riches said 16 $10,000 prizes now it only says 12.Its only been a couple weeks. Yet nobody has claimed any prizes so how can that be. Also the money mega play onlyshows 3 million dollar prizes remaining yet no one has claimed the second one and you guys have no way of knowing if the ticket was sold or not.

    • iwishican: The scratch-off prize remaining page is regularly updated each morning. The game did start with 16 $10,000 prizes and four have been claimed. They just didn’t include a winners story.

In regard to Big Money Mega play. Two top prizes have been claimed. The first was on September 22 and the second was on October 14.

    • Orlan:
There are two dates that are important to scratch-off games. The “final activation date” is the first. This is important to retailers so they can get games typically with limited inventory and high prizes remaining activated to sell in their stores. We recognize these games have high demand so our sales team works with retailers to get these games activated for sale. Once the final activation date occurs no more books for that game can be activated and it starts the clock (182 days) towards the second important date, which is the “last claim date”. The last claim date, which is important to consumers like you, is the final date that players can claim their prizes. We publish this date as soon as it is available on the scratch-off prizes remaining page.

3D Jackpot, Cashino and Big 8 Bingo all fall into these categories. We do not know whether inventory exists for sale for these games any longer as they may have all been sold out.

The final activation date for Bucks Deluxe is October 22, so if you send me a specific zip code I can search for retailers with that specific game.

      Hope this helps.

  24. Valerie Cloud

Do you know if there are any Big Bucks Party packs for sale in the 21133, 21208 or 21117 areas? I love that game and know it will be sold out soon, but cannot find it at retailers. Thank you!

    • Valerie:
Big Bucks Party Packs are going to be virtually impossible to find. The reason is because the final claim date is right around the corner on November 5.

The closer we get to those dates, the harder it will be to find that game in retail locations.

  25. I see there’s a new Holiday Game out there…#837…Holiday Treasures, right? How many did you print? Is the top prize still out there & how many $10,000 ones did you print? Can you guestimate, based on past $2 Holiday sales, when we can expect the top prizes to be done? Typically, will it take a year or more to sell out the $2.00 tix?

    • ozzie: Yes, just had several new holiday tickets launched for this year.

Specifically for game #837, Holiday Treasures, we printed roughly 1.8 million tickets. All top prizes (6) remain for the ticket as well. We cannot guess when the top prizes will be claimed, as they are randomly distributed throughout the print run of the tickets and we don’t know when or where they will be sold. Lastly, the latest sales trends have $2 games typically selling through within 30-35 weeks.

  26. Raise the stakes in 21047 or 21236?

  27. where can i find hot streak and raise the stakes near 21207

    • rachel:
Hot Streak’s final claim date has been announced. We can not locate where any of those are.
For Raise the Stakes try A-1 Food Market, Gem Liquors, Hilton Supermarket, Leeds Liquors, and Mars.

  28. How many total tickets are printed for each scratch-off game? For example, Raise the Stakes. How many total tickets were printed that were available for sale?

    • Sue: The amount printed for each game depends on the price point, season, theme as well as current strategy for varying price points. Currently, we are printing as little as 960,000 tickets of our $20 tickets and as many as 5 million tickets on some of our Bingo games.

      • Can you tell me how many tickets come on a 5 dollar and 20 dollar roll.5 million tickets wow no wonder i cant win. Im just gonna stop wasting my money on the lottery. Its very unlikely that i will get 1 50,000 top prize out out of 5 million printed tickets LOL!

      • I think what Sue and a lot of us players would like to know is how many tickets are printed for each individual game. On the scratch off update on the MD lottery website, The lottery gives how many prizes and the denominations of prizes remaining for each scratch off game. Surely the lottery can also put up how many total tickets are left compared to winners. For instance this is from the MD lottery scratch off website last updated Oct 6 731 am. Why can’t or won’t the lottery put up how many total tickets are left?

      • Vernon: We are currently working on improving this information on our website. We hope to have it ready in the next couple of months. We are still in the planning phase, but two potential improvements call for including percentage sold and total tickets printed for each game.

We’ve tossed around the idea of included remaining ticket inventory, but because of the inexact nature of sales it would be virtually impossible to give accurate information.

    • iwishicanwin

why didnt they tell you about the raise the stakes . makes you wonder doesnt it.

      • iwishicanwin: I was able to answer Sue’s questions about Raise the Stakes. The answers were included after another post of her’s.

      • Iwishicanwin is correct. My question was/is: how many total tickets were printed for the Raise the Stakes game? 5 million? I ask because in other posts, you indicated that 99% of tickets are sold, yet I was able to find many retailers who still have this ticket. My friends and I pooled together and purchased $100 worth over the weekend. The highest amount we won on a single ticket was $15, which makes us believe that while 99% may have been sold, there are still thousands of tickets left out there to purchase. Hearing 99% makes it seem like there are so many prizes left to be won with very little tickets remaining, but that doesn’t seem to be the reality. So, my question was, if 99% were sold, approximately how many tickets remain for sale (ex: 5 million printed would leave potentially 50,000 left for sale). I’m just trying to understand my odds better. Thank you.

      • Sue: We understand. A lot of players have expressed interest in more information regarding scratch-offs so they can make better purchase decisions. We are in the process of improving our website in order to do so.

Specifically, 3,216,240 tickets were printed for Raise the Stakes and the ticket is currently 99.4% sold. So roughly 19,300 tickets remain to be purchased.

  29. Where can I find RAAISE THE STAKES IN 21133 AND 21286

  30. Where can I find Hot 8 Bingo in either 21113 or 20723 area codes? I’ve looked and looked, no luck. Thanks!

    • Nik: If you’re refering to Big 8 Bingo, that game has sold out.

      • If the Big 8 Bingo is sold out, why does the prize page show that there are thousands of tickets with winning prize amounts that haven’t been cashed in?

      • Sue: The game is sold out, but players who have purchased winning tickets have until the final claim date to cash in the ticket to receive their prize. The final claim date for Big 8 Bingo is February 11, 2011.

      • Please clarify…
Sue made an excellent point. If we are looking at your “Remaining Scratch Off” page, what exactly are we reading? Tickets yet to be cashed in… OR … tickets yet to be purchased?
And how would we the consumer know the difference?

I can’t believe I’ve wasted time and gas trying to find tickets listed on your site as “remaining” only to find it was sold out all along.

      • Nik:
The information displayed on this page are the prizes remaining to be claimed (or cashed in). Because of the random nature of our games we have no way of knowing when or where a winning ticket will be purchased so the only way for us to display the information is by prizes yet to be claimed.

I hope this helps clarify things for you.

Thanks for writing in. We appreciate hearing from our players.

  31. Thanks for the upcoming improvements on your scratch-off “prizes remaining” website. Including the % sold along with the remaining prizes is good sportsmanship. Players can make better informed decisions. Can you give us a ball-park idea of how many tickets you routinely print (at start of new games) at different price points?

    • Ozzie: The amount printed for each game depends on the price point, season, theme as well as current strategy for varying price points. Currently, we are printing as little as 960,000 tickets of our $20 tickets and as many as 5 million tickets on some of our Bingo games.

  32. I requested information on the location of platinum rewards scratch offs in my area and you requested the zip code . The zip code is 20745 in oxon hill, md.

  33. I see you answered my earlier question (9/26) on 9/30…it is on the September HOT FIVE. Thanks, I took notes.

  34. Where can if find RAISE THE STAKES near the 20705 zip code?

  35. CAN YOU TELL ME THE PERCENTAGE SOLD FOR DIAMOND 7S AND LUCKY 8S???

  36. Are there really 2 – $1,000,000.00 and $3 – $50,000.00 prizes left on platinum rewards? I am hearing from retailers that there is only 1 – $1,000,000.00 prize left but I don’t know where they get their info from.

  37. what exactly makes the hot five the hot five. also how many scratch offs come on a 5 dollar and 20 dollar roll. thankyou

    • iwishican: A number of factors come into play when selecting the hot five including percentage sold, game type, price point, second chance, number of days in the market and more. Our product development team evaluates each scratch-off based on these criteria to select the hot five each month.

  38. I’ve posted several times asking where to buy Raise the Stakes in the 21236, 21237, 21220, 21221 zip codes. My posts are always deleted. Why?

  39. Not much happening on this month’s Hot 5. Better luck next month

  40. what percentage is raise the stakes sold. i know of 3 places that had em and 2 places ran out and the other place had like a new roll cause i bought the first ticket. Hope I can win the last 50,000 if its still out there. i would be happy if i won 1000. whatever happened to big 8 bingo it seems to have vanished from the face of the earth.

  41. what is the % sold/tickets remaining on the “raise the stakes” $5 ticket

  42. Hi. I’m curious, what is the percentage left of platinum rewards?
where can I find it in zip code…21062

  43. Patricia Richardson

I like to enter my ravens points on line they keep tell me my email address is not right how can i fix this?

  44. i pray that one day i can win.

  45. Mandi Harrison

Please add me to this website. Thank you.
Keep giving us great scratch offs. Love Bingo ones and Ravens

  46. I have tried the hot five and get nothing, have almost stopped playing my favorites are 5 dollar bingo and 5 dollar crossword, the last 10 or 15 of each that I have bought I did not even get 5 bucks back, what happened have you cut back on paybacks, it is nice to at least get 5 or 10 bucks so you can keep playing, also living lucky I still have about 400 dollars worth of tickets and have not won a thing

    • “I still have about 400 dollars worth of tickets and have not won a thing”

Yeah you and about a million other people LOL!

  47. I was under the impression that one of the main reasons for having a hot five was to let the players know what tickets had the largest percentage sold to help them determine what tickets to play according to percentile odds. Now I have been informed that Set for Life and Year of the Ox are over 85 % sold out with players waiting for the secound chance drawing on Set for Life for OVER A YEAR AND A HALF. I as many entrants feel you should promote the old inventory and get these games over instead of pushing the high end 60% sold games, so please consider your players and give us the highest percentile solds and lets get these games over and done. Thank You

    • Tom: Our goal is always to sell scratch-off games out as soon as possible. With more than 80 scratch-offs available at several price points and styles at any given time, there are a number of variables that are considered when our product development team chooses each months hot five. Percentage sold is just one of those variables. We’ve received a lot of feedback since we changed the format of our Hot Five in March. Feel free to take a look back at our previous months here.

In addition, we are in the process of improving our website and specifically our scratch-off prizes remaining page. One of the improvements is that each game will now include percentage sold along with the prizes remaining. We’ve received a lot of feedback that this is a detail that players want to come up with a better strategy for their purchases…and we’re happy to provide it to them.

Thanks for the feedback. We appreciate hearing from our players.
