$1 Million Second-Tier Powerball Ticket Sold in Columbia

$220 Million Jackpot for Saturday

PowerballWhile last night’s Powerball drawing did not produce a jackpot winner, it did deliver Maryland’s largest Powerball winner to date.   A second-tier winning ticket was purchased in Columbia.  The lucky winner chose the Power Play option, which turned a $200,000 prize into a $1 million win.   The winner has 182 days to claim the prize.

The winning ticket was purchased at Royal Farms #805, located at 8755 Center Park Dr. in Columbia. The Royal Farm store will receive a $2,500 commission for selling the winning ticket.

The winner matched all five white balls, only missing the Powerball.  The winning numbers were 1, 6, 10, 13, 20 and Powerball 32.  There were no jackpot winners, making the jackpot for Saturday night’s drawing worth $220 million.

The Powerball drawing is held in Orlando, Florida and can be seen locally on Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 11:22 pm on WBAL-TV, Channel 11.  The multi-state game is played in 41 states, Washington D.C. and the US Virgin Islands.
