  50. Gwendolyn Mosley

It took me forever to get a Gold ticket, and I was not aware that I should write my infromation on the tickets.I just put them in an envelope and mailed them. I did ask my lottery agent for directions he said,” just mail them.” Will I still win if you draw my envelope.

    • Gwendolyn: You will be a part of the drawing. We’ll use the return address to contact you. Also, we’ll be publishing winners names here so winner will have a chance to reach out to us to claim their prize.

  51. Rickey Graves Sr.

Why can’t Md. Lottery officials pay out the prize money based on, where and the amount of sales they receive each month, week or day. “Example “It is not fair for the community of Glen Burnie to get $1.5 million in prize money and Silver Spring $100 thousand in prizes, but the players in Silver Spring only spent $10 thousand in sales! Most lottery players in Md., are making great sacrifices to play, especially low income/senior citizens and minorities. I know with all the technology the lottery board has in it’s arsenal a system can be put in place to make sure the lottery players that live in Maryland and play the Md. lottery receive their fair share of prize money. The lottery board should be ashamed of the way they run the system anyway, because it is the citizens of Md., who supply the money for the game and instead of coming up with ways to get the players involved with the game and let players in areas that provide the most support for the game have a voice in using the lottery to do positive things, things that ordinary people think are positive not the government. (jobs, honor roll awards, community achievement awards, recognition awards for not gambling, important messages/announcements on tickets, etc……..). Me and my friends are tired of reading about big payouts going to rural places with little or no activity. We’re tired of seeing how terrible our schools look and function with all the money there are receiving from the lottery.

    • Rickey Graves Sr: In order to provide games which offer the same odds to all players, the Maryland Lottery cannot gear payouts so that they reflect the percentage of tickets or amount sold in a specific area. Any ticket sold, regardless of the community that purchases it, has the same ability to win. The proceeds from sales that are turned over as revenue to the State go into the general fund. How those funds are spent is determined by the General Assembly and accounting of the general fund revenue is included in each Fiscal Year’s budget reports.

  52. How do you get to the official rules site. I tried the link from the last comment but it didn;y work.

  53. When will you have this game again?Time flys when you are haveing fun.

    • florette: We are glad you enjoyed the game. This game was a promotion specific to the winter Olympics. We do have some fun new promotions including a Racetrax Doubler going on now and a Keno Sprinkler beginning next week. Please stay tuned for additional promotional announcements, events and more.

  54. Billy Ray Edwards

I’M sure you all know there is a credibility problem with this drawing without some public assurance it’s fair.

    • Billy Ray Edwards: This drawing is being conducted in the exact same way as all of our mail-in second-chance drawings. There are strict guidelines and procedures that we adhere to when conducting these drawings. It is video-recorded and witnessed by members of the Security Division, an Auditor, and others.

  55. Veronica Hall

The entries are stored by our security department in a secured container, so that all entries received by the deadline date will remain as-is until drawing time. Also, given the sheer number of mailed-in entries (more than 60,000 to date) notifying each participant would be impossible.

  57. WILL YOU SEE THE DRAWING ON T.V. 7 IF WE DONT, COULD YOU NOTIFY US BY LETTER OR e- Mail.

  82. carol casparriello

I had a gold ticket on a power ball drawing for 3/3 i don’t think you give enough time for people who have to wait for the drawing and if they are not a winner have to overnite this envelope in order to meet the deadline. Why couldn’t you take in consideration that people have to wait to after drawings in my mind you did not give enough time.

    • carol: The last date of ticket sales that would produce medals eligible for the contest was Sunday, Feb 28th. The deadline for receiving entries is 10 AM on March 5th. Although this is a tight window of time for a player that purchased their a ticket with a draw date of 3/3, it is not impossible to make this entry window. In the case of drawing deadlines, a player that purchases tickets for drawing dates that occur close to or past the deadline, due to the rules of the promotion, may not be able to use the ticket in the contest.

  83. Elroy Wade Johnson

I would like to know if you have received my entries

  84. Barbara Alsina

Were my entries received, would you kindly inform me via e-mail if they were. Just loved this game during the winter olympics.
Thanks in advance for time spent on my response. I have the playing spirit (smile)

  92. Janice K Mugar

I called your office and I was told I would be disqualified automaticly. I did a dumb thing. Put my tickets in a Baltimore City Schools Envelope without signing the back at all. I made copies of the front and back (as I always do with everything) before I mailed them. Looking at my copies there is a number for each ticket but no signing from me. Is this hopeless or what?

    • Janice: From your response I’m not sure if you’d be disqualified. The info that we need from your entry does not have to be on the individual tickets, although that’s not bad practice. The envelope that your entry is in will also be in our large drawing tumbler when the draw is conducted. If we select your entry and it adheres to the other entry requirements in the promotional rules, the only info that we will need is your Name and Address on the envelope.

There are other requirements for entries, the full rules are here.

  93. Sheller Brown

I submitted several tickets with all the information completed. But I have never won a big price from the Maryland lottery, and I surely would like to win. Please let me win something. Thanks

    • Joe: The Lottery is the regulatory body that oversees the entire Video Lottery Terminals program. To answer your second question, I’m glad you enjoyed Keno Patrol and hopefully we will do a promotion like that again!

  120. When I sent the tickets in the mail I included all my contact information on a paper folded up with the tickets, instead of on the tickets. Will that count?

  121. I’ve never won anything big; right now I’m struggling, my mortage is behind and I realy could use the money to pay off some bills and catch up on my mortage and help my son with his college tuition.

I have 1 more set; can I still mail it off; I through the cut-off date was 2/28 and now I see I can get it in the mail by 3/5. Is this correct?

  122. I submitted my entries with my name on all three tickets. I did not staple them. Was that the correct procedure?

    Good Luck All.

I mailed one of each medals bronze silver gold and filled out my return address on envelop along with name. I never filled out the back of the receipt of lottery tickets. What is going to happen with entrys? I can give you my information if it will help. Thanks Anthony

  159. Do you have to sign the back of each ticket along with your name and address?

  160. HOW IS THIS DRAWING GOING TO BE HELD? ARE YOU ALL ENTERING THE ENVELOPES THAT WAS MAILED TO YOU; I’M PUZZLED – IF YOU HAVE TO HAVE ALL 3 CARDS AND YOU PLACE THE REQUIRED INFORMATION ON A PIECE OF PAPER, HOW WILL YOU KNOW WHAT TICKET BELONGS TO WHOM IF THERE IS NOTHING ON THE TICKET?

    • Lenore: All envelopes will be placed into a drawing device. The winners will randomly be selected. Once an envelope is selected as a winner, the envelope will be opened and the tickets inside will be validated.

put medal madness…i hpoe they will be received

  162. donald cooper

In case I win, this is my email address. Thank you

  163. Does it matter if I mail in 2 bronze tickets or does it have to be all three (bronze, silver and gold) together?
    Thanks!

  164. WANDA PURVIS

as often as I play all the Maryland lottery games
I found it challenging. I received my 3rd and final (the GOLD) on the day before the end of the game I was so excited. They were mailed with infor. on the back of each ticket including E-mail and phone along with a note with the same infor. ENJOYED THE GAME!!!!!

  165. I have sent in about 10 copies of Gold , Silver and
Bronze. I play a lot of the lotto games mostly (3) (4) digs.

  166. Debbie Tsamoudakis

I sent in all my entries with my phone number email etc.. just in case I win. I want to make sure the lottery peeps find me lol 🙂

  167. Is it ok to put the required information (name, mailing address, phone #, and email address) on the back of the medal tickets I mail in or do I need to include that information on a separate piece of paper?

  168. I also mail in my entries and did not see where to put phone#’s or e-mail address, will that stop me for being eligible. Thank You

  169. I mailed in 3 sets of the silver gold and bronze but I forgot to put my phone number on 2 sets but I have my return address on them.I did put everything on the other set. Hopefully everything will be okay.

  170. Karen Brooks

I mailed in two (2) entries. I didn’t see where you had to give your phone number and e-mail address. Will that be a problem?

    • Karen: Thanks for your note. The phone number and email are optional. They entries will definitely still be eligible. FYI…I deleted your personal information from your comment so it was not advertised to the public.

  171. Dana Martin

I agree with all of the above comments. I did enjoy the game in spite of everything mentioned.

  172. I mailed my entry earlier today according to the rules listed on the medal area of the ticket – it said collect all 3 medals and mail to: witht the address listed above, which I did after filling in my name & address on the back. There was no slot for email or phone, so didn’t include this and since I’ve already mailed it cannot do so now! Will this disqualify my entry?

  173. I sent my Medals in and forgot to send my e-mail address.

  174. This is an update to the email I sent earlier today. On your 2nd Chance Drawings Game Rules Web Site, The Medal Madness PDF file link: (http://www.mdlottery.com/resources/RavensCashFantasyRules.pdf ) erroneously goes to the “Ravens Cash Fantasy” PDF file (which is now over). Please update the Medal Madness PDF file link, ASAP, so we can all be sure we are aware of the Offical Rules to ensure we have met all of the requirements for valid MM (GOLD, SILVER & BRONZE) entries, thanks

  175. I agree there weren’t many golds in circulation — I managed to get only two with a lot of plays!

  176. Are you allowed to mail in more than one set of the Gold Silver and Bronze entries?

  177. Where is the link to the Medal Madness Official Rules, I searched the MDL Web site and I can’t find it, just this page that gives the mailing address. Isn’t there an official rules PDF or some other type of file that can be viewed and downloaded and copied?? I want to be sure I adhere to all of the rules and stipulations to be sure my entries are valid. Today is 3/1/10, and the contest ends 3/5/10, so please respond and post the link to the Official Medal Madness Rules. I am sure I am not the only person who cannot find this link. Thanks for your prompt response

  178. Don’t fret. I play the 3 and 4-digit every day and I only have 2 sets. I’ve already mailed one and the other is going out today.

  179. James E. Akers

I mailed in many enteries,I also play alot . (3) (4) and lotto. So I’ m hoping this time I win something.

  180. I’ve got one group in. It is hard to get a set but I did it.

  181. I mailed in my entry and I loved this game. There can’t be too many entries as I play the lottery a lot and only got one set of Gold-Silver-Bronze tickets. Maybe you gave a lot out to the Keno players but I got very few playing the play 3 and play4 games and I play everyday. I couldn’t believe this was all I got, but I was only able to get one set. Hopefully I was the only person to send in a set, so my chances to win the $250,000.00 grand prize are guaranteed! I can use the money so please send my check as soon as possible! Thanks!

  182. I’ve got my collections all ready to go!
