  1. Mattie E. Ford

Why is it taking so long to find out about the $10,000 dollar winner? When will people be informed about a drawing that took place on 2-16-10 and now we are entering March 2010. It shouldn’t take that long to find out who our winner is.

    • Mattie: The person selected as the $10K winner has been notified and is currently looking for his Lucky Code, which is needed to claim the prize. Per the rules, the person has 60 days from the drawing date to claim his prize. If they don’t claim by then, an alternate will notified and will receive the prize pending validation. We have began to publish the names and codes for Livin’ Lucky drawings. You have view the names of the winners and the codes here, as well as other drawing dates since the beginning of the year.

  2. ok this has got to be a mistake we asked what happen to the jan 21 10,000 drawing and you said it was because the drawing started in july ok the next drawing was for feb16 and it said pending valadation now its saying next drawing march21 what happened?

    • diggy: We only conduct Livin’ Lucky $10,000 drawings when another 10% of our Livin’ Lucky tickets has been sold. The last drawing was on February 16th and validation of the winner is pending. We have yet to announce when the next $10,000 drawing will be because we are only at 52% sold for the game. The next drawing will be when we hit 60%.

We are conducting drawings for six winners of $300 worth of Livin’ Lucky scratch-offs every two weeks. We did have a drawing on January 21st for this prize. You have view the names of the winners and the codes here, as well as other drawing dates since the beginning of the year. We have announced the next drawing dates for these prizes. They are March 2, March 17 and April 1.

      Hope this helps.

  4. please notify me when you post winners

  5. Are the lucky code winners always contacted? Just wondering if we should always go through all of our codes each time new winning ones are posted even if we were not contacted.

  6. Its a shame that all of the winners are in the upper part of Md. None of on the lower Eastern Shore

    • Mike: The geographic locations of our winners are random. There is no way to predict where the winners will be. However, research tells us that more winners come from areas of the State in which more people are playing. Therefore, areas in Maryland with higher populations will more likely produce more winners than lower populated areas. Thanks you for your inquiry.

  7. I HOPE ITS ME BALTIMORE PLEASE HELP MDLOTTERY

  8. why not put the name alone side the lucky number,as they have to have the CODE tickte.it would be must easy for the players.

  9. So when&how do we find out who won the 10,000.00 for the Feb 16th drawing?

  10. thanks for the 2nd chance drawing promotions,it offers a chance to win on losing tickets.even though i didn’t win a single prize in ravens cash fantasy,i think it was fun to play online.i think my luck will change livin lucky!!!thanks again, good to all!

  11. I HAVE PLAY LOTTERY LIVIN LUCK PUT IN CODE HAVE NOT WON PEOPLE IN LITTLE TOWNS LIKE BERLIN ,MD HAVE ON CHANCE OF WINNING TOTEL CODES AROUND 20

  12. IMHO the lottery is only about gaining money to put back into the pockets of the execs. Every city in the state of Maryland, you can find countless places to purchase scratchoffs. I have gone to several stores in one area and the neighboring area to purchase tickets and have only won the $5 or $10 bucks I put out. In a day I have spent $100 plus. I have been told by a extremely reliable source, that the chances of winning in certain parts of Baltimore are greater, because they want the revenue to feed back into Baltimore. Check out the Press Releases for 2009. Seems pretty suspect to me. We are all Marylanders and we all should have a fare chance. I don’t play the “game of chance” only to win back $10 or $20 bucks. I WANT TO WIN THE JACKPOT!!! Make me a believer!!

    • Annette: The geographic locations of our winners are random. There is no way to predict where the winners will be. However, research tells us that more winners come from areas of the State in which more people are playing. Thanks again for your inquiry. We appreciate hearing from our players. And good luck!

  13. I agree with Henry J. I used to live in Texas and they do it right there. The Texas lottery has more games and rewards their scratch-off players with better percentages of winning tickets. They also have $50.00 scratch-offs. Plus, they have a watchdog committee that monitors its lottery retailer/agents to make sure they are following procedure and not riping off customers.

    • Vincent T: We also have a security division that performs a watchdog function. They investigate all aspects of Lottery network to ensure the integrity of our operations (including sales), drawings, and claims.

  14. I Love The Way This Is Set Up Now !
Before Ya didn,t Know What Was Happening Or What to Think ..You Should Have More Scratch Offs Set Up Like This..That Set For Life Thing .. That Should Have Been Set Up Like This …. I Like It .. Whens The Next Pull For The 300 Dollors Worth Of Scratch Off ?

  15. I agree with the gentleman who said there should be more money put in the scratchoffs I just bought the last 8 tickets they had in the sizzlin spot crossword total 40 bucks and I did not even get 5 bucks in return you would think there would at least be 5 dollars in this many tickets I think it is time to quit spending 4 and 5 hundred a month on scratchoffs.

  16. I think the most recent Living Lucky 2nd Chance Contest is a failure. Please don’t expect me to buy anymore of these tickets. The tiers are moving too slow. It’s been at 48% for a long time. I think you should end it–or Enhance the Prizes– Why prolong the suffering.
    Thank you

    • Henry J.: We are sorry that you are not happy with the Livin’ Lucky promotion. We enhanced the prizes in November and have seen much more interest in the contest since then. We understand that not everyone will enjoy every promotion the Lottery has. That’s one of the reasons we have a variety of second-chance contests for you to choose from. Take a look at our second-chance contest page at mdlottery.com/gamerules.

    • I would rather see better prizes in the scratch-off’s themselves. The other day I bought 6 consecutive Platinum Reward $20 tickets with not one winner. I think the 2nd chance contests are a waste of a stamp. Please put the prizes in the scratch-offs. My VFW of 800-plus members feels the same way as I do about it.

  17. Thanks for posting, I have not won anything yet out of all the times I submit but it is good to see the numbers and be able to check your tickets.

  18. Why have only 3 winners been listed for the “Livin’ Lucky” 10% sold drawing? The chart indicates 48% sold so there should be 4 winners.

    • Mark: Livin’ Lucky tickets went on sale on May 18th. Players were able to enter Livin’ lucky codes during the Cash Extravaganza promotion throughout the month of June. The 10% drawings didn’t begin until the Livin’ Lucky promotion began in July, at which time the ticket was already more than 10% sold. Therefore, $10,000 winners were chosen at 20%, 30%, and 40%.

  19. codes from the beinning of the contest, know information was giving. I have codes I can t check. How do I get them.

    • Brenda: All Cash Extravaganza prizes (from June) had to be claimed by September 30, 2009. All prizes since then must be claimed within 60 days of the drawing date, therefore we only have the codes listed that can still be claimed.

  20. O.K guys where is the lucky codes for Jan21st I feel like my code is in this group of codes.

  21. there was a drowing on 1/21/10 were do i look for the code for that day

  22. not the claimed winners but you have the codes but no name beside them if you have over 300 tickets thats kinda redundant it would be easier to have the code and the name.thanks

  23. I have a question how many times does the number seven come up in the 3 and 4 number drawings? Are you sure something or someone does not make it heavier? Do you have a watchdog over these drawings?

    • Charlotte: The odds are identical for every drawing and each drawing is completely random. Every Maryland Lottery drawing is conducted in strict adherence to detailed procedures in order to guarantee the integrity of the results. These procedures call for numerous security checks and much testing of equipment and Lottery balls both before and after every single drawing. Security cameras document all that happens in the studio – 24 hours a day. To further guarantee the integrity of our drawings independent auditing firms perform unannounced visits, as do officials from the Lottery’s Security Division.

  24. Posting the codes makes a huge difference. Thanks!
