Family Numbers Lead to Big Win

Woman Takes Home $50,000 Playing Bonus Match 5

Numbers that are very special to a Washington, DC woman’s heart, led to her $50,000 Bonus Match 5 win. The lucky player said that the winning numbers came from her grandmother. “I used the date my grandmother was born and the date she died,” she said. “If you have a hunch you should go for it.”

The AARP employee believes that numbers are significant. She said if you choose the right numbers and place them in a certain order, they could be lucky for you.  The 48-year-old player also hit Pick 4 a couple of times last year using similar numbers.

The winner, who is not married and has no children, said she will use the prize money for home improvements, bills and taxes. She said she may also help some family members.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Eastern Ave. BP located at 4501 Eastern Ave. in Mount Rainier.

  1. The MD. Cash 5 is a rip off!
N.J. & PA. Cash 5 games have a roll over and you could win up to $500,00.00 or more each time no one gets all 5 numbers. I know that MD. gives you 3 chances for $2.00 to win $50,00.00, but I’d rather spend $1.00 per game if I could win $500,000.00 or more.
So now I have to spend $11.00 to try and win $600,000.00 when all I had to spend was $1.00.
