Three $250,000 Second-Tier Winners Last Week
Last week was a very prosperous week for Mega Millions players in Maryland. Three local winners matched five numbers, and each brought home $250,000. However, nobody matched all six numbers on Friday, making tonight’s jackpot worth $84 million.
Marilou Anobas, from Middle River, claimed one of the $250,000 winning tickets from last Tuesday’s drawing. Remaining unclaimed prizes from last week are: a ticket purchased at York Exxon in Cockeysville from that same evening’s drawing and a ticket bought at Cherry Hill Sunoco in Silver Spring from Friday night’s drawing. This raises the count of Mega Millions $250,000 winners in July alone to seven. Since January, Maryland has seen 24 Mega Millions players win the game’s second-tier prize.
Along with the 24 winners of $250,000 so far this year, 119 players have won third-tier Mega Millions prizes of $10,000.
