Thurmont Woman Finds Charm in Third Lottery Win in a Decade

Wins $250,000 Top Prize with Livin’ Lucky Scratch-Off

Livin LuckyA Thurmont woman is relishing her third major Lottery win in just 10 years. The 56-year old truly found the charm in winning a third time when she scratched off a Livin’ Lucky ticket to reveal a $250,000 top prize.

The lucky player purchased the scratch-off ticket during a stop at a local convenience store and scratched it in the store parking lot. When she finished scratching, the result left her feeling dumfounded and nervous. “I sat there for five minutes in my car thinking ‘This can’t be happening,’” said the winner. “I had more than butterflies! I looked the ticket up and down several times.” She immediately called her daughter to share the good news and then found a safe place to keep the winning ticket.

The jackpot win couldn’t have come at a better time according to this winner. “This has taken such a burden off me and my children,” said the winner. She plans to use the winnings for a down payment on a house. “This is going to be my ‘ticket,’ in every sense of the word, into a new home.”

The winning ticket was purchased at the Beckley’s Country Store on Willow Rd. in Frederick.
