Maryland Lottery Players Appear on Two Big Game Shows

Deal or No Deal and Cash Extravaganza $1 Million Grand Prize Game Show Air this Thursday

“Let Yourself Play” takes on even more meaning for Maryland Lottery fans this Thursday. On July 16th, tune into two big Lottery game show events and watch to see who wins.

At 1 pm on Baltimore’s WBFF FOX45, catch the excitement as one Marylander competes on the syndicated Deal or No Deal. The lucky contestant was one of seven who traveled to Hollywood in April to compete for the chance to be featured on the show during Lottery Week.  The seven Deal or No Deal second-chance contest winners included Thisbe Blow from New Carrollton; Dianne Neal from Baltimore; Mary Stone from Mt. Airy; Ernest Collins from Riverdale; Lisa Stone from Annapolis; and Barbara Butt and Chris Thompson; both from Pasadena.  In addition to the chance to appear on Deal or No Deal, each winner received a four-night, five-day trip to Hollywood and $5,000.

To enter, players mailed-in non-winning Deal or No Deal scratch-off tickets.  The winning entries were selected from almost 130,000 entries.  Players who submitted entries that were not selected still have a chance to win in September when another seven entries will be drawn for the chance to win up to $2.5 million.  In addition, the scratch-off still has one $50,000 instant top-prize remaining.

And, the thrills keep coming when the Cash Extravaganza Grand Prize Game Show airs on WBAL-TV Channel 11 later that evening.  The show will air in four segments between 7 and 8 PM.  See which of the 30 aspiring millionaires realizes his/her dream of riches and watch all of the fun as friends and family cheer on their favorite contestants, which included: Amadu Bah from Bowie; Glenn Makovsky from Denton; James Griffin from Springdale; Judy Kelly from Pasadena; Jerrell Redick from Washington, DC; Pamela Duffy from Capitol Heights; Michelle Elzie from Hagerstown; Jung Yi from Elkridge; Dae Mun from Cockeysville; Jesse Greenwell from Mechanicsville; Monica Scott from Columbia; Sharon Brechbiel from Catonsville; Brandy Mann from Bel Air; Gail Pope from Ferndale; Lisa McKinney from Hanover; Keith Ashton from Crofton; Sheila Merritt from Bethesda; Stephanie Agostinelli from Glen Burnie; Marilyn Washington from Grasonville; Wanda Carroll and Tommie Major – both from Oxon Hill; George Dennison, Samuel Woods, Grace Wilson, Robert Cooper, Celia Elliott, Diane Charles, Tisha Burrell, Glenn Weekes, and Patricia Faust – all from Baltimore.

Players entered the contest throughout the month of June online at using either the Lucky Code from a Livin’ Lucky scratch-off or the coupon number from a Bonus Coupon.  More than one million entries were received.
