Baltimore Woman Wins $250,000 Second-Tier Mega Millions Prize

A Baltimore woman came to Lottery Headquarters on Monday to claim her $250,000 Mega Millions prize.  The 20-year-old bought her ticket on Tuesday, July 7th, thinking that the seventh day of the seventh month was a lucky day.  “I only play when I feel lucky,” she said.  She picked random numbers, and gave the ticket to a family member to hold on to.

“I was shocked,” she said.  “I still can’t believe it.”  The lucky winner, who is now working full-time, hopes to use her winnings to go to medical school.  In the meantime, she plans to keep playing the Lottery.  “I’ll be back,” she said.  “I know I’ll be lucky again.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Paradise Liquors located at 2223 Pennsylvania Ave. in Baltimore.
