A Baltimore man won big playing the Maryland Lottery’s Big Money Doubler scratch-off. The 71-year-old, who plays scratch-offs almost every day, came to Lottery Headquarters on Tuesday to claim his $10,000 prize.
The man was in the car with his cousin on Friday when he discovered his ticket was a winner. “I had to keep him from falling over,” his cousin said.
The winner is certain that he will be lucky again soon. He said that he hasn’t won anything for ten or fifteen years, but the last time he won big, he won twice in the same month. He hopes that this time, he will have the same luck. Until then, he plans on using his winnings to pay bills and take care of his wife and three children.
The winning ticket was purchased at One Stop Shop on 4905 Frankford Ave. in Baltimore.
