Baltimore Jeweler wins $100,000 Playing Diamond Mine

Diamond MineA Baltimore jewelry salesman struck it rich on Thursday, winning $100,000 on the Maryland Lottery Diamond Mine scratch-off. The 49-year-old, who buys scratch-offs almost every day, said the win could not have come at a better time. “He was so broke I had to convince him to buy the ticket,” his fiancé said.

On Wednesday night, she had a dream that if it rained on Thursday, they would win the Lottery. And now, there’s nothing but blue skies in the couple’s future. The winner and his fiancé, who have been engaged for three years, will get married next July. They plan to use their winnings to pay bills and support their two-year-old son.

The winning ticket was purchased at Inglewood Citgo, located on 620 Edmondson Ave. in Baltimore. The $10 Diamond Mine scratch-off has one $100,000 top-prize remaining.
