Robin Paiva was so alarmed at being in possession of a $250,000 winning Livin Lucky ticket that she hid it in a clock on Monday night. The 33-year-old mother of four came to Lottery headquarters on Tuesday morning to claim her $250,000 top prize, accompanied by her husband Daniel and their son Owen and daughter Lola.
Robin, a bartender, said her first purchase will be a van so the family of six will no longer have to drive two cars when they all go out together. They also hope to take their first family vacation and make repairs around the house.
The lucky winner, who often plays scratch-offs for fun, bought two of the new Livin’ Lucky tickets at the EZ Quick Food Mart on Mountain Road in Pasadena on her way to work. “I always seem to be lucky when I play there,” said Robin, who has won $500 twice this year on scratch-offs.
Robin is the Lottery’s first player to win the $250,000 top-prize on the Livin’ Lucky scratch-off. There are four $250,000 top-prizes remaining.
