Another Drawing Breaks the Bank
Pick 3 players across Maryland cashed in big last night. That’s because, once again, the bank has been broken, as last night’s 2-2-2 result paid out in prizes more than three times the sales brought in for the drawing.
“The Pick 3 game has certainly been generous to our players in the last year,” joked Lottery Director Buddy Roogow, “maybe a bit too generous.” Director Roogow refers to the fact that triples like last night’s winning numbers have been drawn 14 times since last June and almost always break the bank. Lottery officials report that sales for Wednesday’s evening Pick 3 drawing were just over $450,000. Last night’s triple 2’s resulted in a prize payout of more than $1.5 million.
The Maryland Lottery’s Pick 3 drawings are held twice daily — midday and evening, seven-days-a-week and are televised every day except Saturdays on WBAL-TV and Maryland Public Television.
