Stop for Gas Turns into Cash for Baltimore Man

$10,000 Break the Bank Scratch-Off Win

Freddie Lisbon - Break the BankWhen Freddie Lisbon stopped at a gas station on the way home from work Tuesday he expected nothing more than a full tank of gas. What he ended up with was a bit more rewarding. He won the top prize of $10,000 on the Break the Bank scratch-off.

“I couldn’t believe my eyes,” Freddie told officials, “The $1,000 winner sign kept showing up. I scratched ten of them in all.” Mr. Lisbon’s $10,000 win is his biggest in the decade that he’s been playing Maryland Lottery games. “I’ve had plenty of luck with the Lottery, but small-scale luck. Until now, that is,” he added.

Some of Freddie’s winnings will go to paying bills, but a good chunk, he promised, will be dedicated to something fun. He’s not sure what that fun thing will be right now, but he’s looking forward to the search.

Freddie bought his winning ticket at the Eagle Mart at 3101 Pulaski Hwy. in Baltimore.
